An interesting game for Titanes (12-9) which hosted in San Cristobal their biggest opponent Indios (11-9). Third ranked Titanes managed to get a 11-point victory 84-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Indios. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Titanes looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Richard Bautista (185-1997) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 7 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Naturalized Spanish power forward Jhonatan Araujo (206-1996) contributed with 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Titanes' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Edgar Tejeda answered with 20 points for Indios. Titanes have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Indios at the other side dropped to the third position with nine games lost. They share it with Leones. Titanes are looking forward to face league's leader Metros in Santiago in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Indios will play at home against Caneros and are hoping to win this game.
LNB top team - Metros (13-8) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Marineros (9-12) in Santiago 108-99. It was a great evening for Jhery Matos (196-1996, college: Charlotte) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Juan Guerrero helped adding 28 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Sydney Curry (203-2000, college: GCU) responded with a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds (on 19-of-22 shooting from the field). Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Metros maintains first place with 13-8 record. Marineros lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 12 games lost. Metros will play against league's second-placed Titanes in San Cristobal in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Marineros will play at home against Leones and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Leones did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 108-91 on Tuesday. It was an exceptional evening for Trahson Burrell who led the winners and scored 27 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Austin Trice came up with 28 points and 8 rebounds for Caneros in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Leones moved-up to third place, which they share with Indios. Loser Caneros stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Leones will meet Marineros (#5) in the next round. Caneros will play against Indios in San Francisco and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
